LES COLEMAN was born near Hull, Yorkshire , a war baby by one day.
After studying at Leeds College of Art he moved to London at the height of 'flower power' in 1967.
Thunks is the fourth book of his aphoristic writings and drawings to be published.
Previous publications are Unthoughts (Ink Sculptors, 1993), Unthinking (Littlewood Arc, 1994) and Unthunk (Errata, 2002).
Throughout the eighties and early nineties Coleman's aphorisms were translated into french appearing regularly in Les Lèvres Nues, edited by the Belgian surrealist Marcel Marien.
Subsequently there have been two French collections of his writing: Impensées (Hourglass, 1994) and Je suis trop vieux pour mourir jeune (Station Underground d'Emerveillement Littéraire, 2005).
Coleman is a contributing author to Geary's Guide to the World's Great Aphorists (Bloomsbury USA, 2007).
