Juergen Olbrich was born in Bielefeld in 1955.
He lives in Kassel and is known for his performances and publications.
As early as 1973 he was doing copy art and publishing copy art books
and in 1976 he started publishing his magazine "Collective Copy".
Olbrich is one of the directors of the Kasseler Kunstverein since 1984.
He participated in documenta 8 in 1987.
